Last day in New York (day 23)
Emerging from the subway into unexplored territory feels like seeing New York for the first time (again and again).
I began my last day with brunch in Soho. Delicious.
Then wandered the cobbled streets. Window-shopping.
(Knew I couldn't afford anything so didn't bother.)
Found Chelsea and admired the High Line from the ground.
(Where I spent my first day, incidentally.)
Spent my last evening in East Village. Dinner at Death & Co.
Last cocktail at The Growler - Long Island Iced Tea.
(My first was a Manhattan at Booker and Dax.
The best? Provençal at Employees Only.)
Will I see New York again?
Maybe.
But I won't be the same.
And neither will New York.
