long weekend (part 1)

Crossed the border twice this weekend.
  
My friends and I lunched at Poachers Pantry on Saturday.

(We meant to brunch but arrived late.)


Half an hour out of Canberra, the air tastes different.

Idyllic. Out in the country, proper.


For mains, I ordered the roasted barramundi fillet and scampi with courgette flowers and a macadamia nut butter.

It was absolutely delicious. (Mmm, sunlight.)



And for dessert, the coconut pavlova with passionfruit, lime marshmallow and ginger ice-cream.


Some of my favourite memories revolve around food.

(Especially with friends. Laughing.)
