what we gain. (and lose.)
internet-less, i realise how reliant i am.
for news. shopping. entertainment. blogging.
a privilege taken for granted.
(if you were pondering my absence, it was installed yesterday.)
.....
my generation is the last to remember life 'before internet'.
as a child, it was something to look forward to. a treat only available when mum took us to the library or community centre.
when did it stopped being special?
(that, i can't remember.)
in its ubiquity,
we need to remember what we gain. (and lose.)
Digital witnesses
What's the point of even sleeping
If I can't show it if you can't see me
What's the point of doing anything?
Lyrics by Annie Clarke (St. Vincent)
