Day Tripper

This morning I drove to Batemans Bay. I've been meaning to for close to a year now...

Important things learnt today:

• I can drive to South Coast and back.
• Canberra is not a country town.
• I am glad I am not a seagull.

I ate fish and chips with the taste of salt on the breeze.

I giggled. I went for a walk.

I listened to the lapping of waves and went ankle-deep in the water. I took photos.

Result: memories that were mine and mine alone...
