Happiness... pure and simple

To think that I've been in Lund for over a month (!) is a little scary. As much as I miss home, it worries me to think how quickly time has passed... The best (and perhaps, only) solution is to make the most of every single day.

Since arriving in Lund, I have received a postcard from Japan and two letters and a Frankie magazine from Australia. My letter box is certainly being put to good use! One of my greatest joys in life is finding something in the mail from a loved one (just so you know...) and the latest letter was from Dad.

Well, it was actually an aerogramme so it took me a couple of seconds to work out how to open it! Reading his accounts of daily life (work, gardening, Poh's Kitchen, politics...) brought a smile to my face while reminding me it's the little things that are sometimes the most important.

My previous posts have focused on my travels but the truth is, not everyday is full of adventures in exciting, new countries... I realise I might be painting an inaccurate picture of life as an exchange student and hope to rectify this by posting even when I don't think anything super interesting has happened.

I shall also endeavour to write more about living in Sweden and Swedish culture but it's almost 1:30 am and I need to catch a train to Helsingborg at 9:20 am... Stay tuned for more about student life at Lund University!
